Support WildLife Foundation and our partner charities this Giving Tuesday

Tuesday 27th November 2018 is Giving Tuesday, the international fundraising day for any charity you want in any way you want. This year, why not support our own conservation efforts as well as the inspirational work of our partner charities?

It doesn’t matter if you want to bake, make, tweet or simply donate, Giving Tuesday is all about raising as much funds as possible for the most worthy causes around.

If you haven’t done so already, check out our A-Z of fundraising ideas for some fun and exciting out-of-the-box fundraising activities that anyone can get involved with. Don’t forget to download our WildLife Foundation Sponsorship Form too!

Anybody can get involved in Giving Tuesday and make sure to use the hashtag #GivingTuesday on social media. You’ll be joining some of the UK’s biggest brands, charities and celebrities in raising both funds and awareness for some of the worthiest causes here in Britain and abroad.

A worthy cause

Since Yorkshire Wildlife Park rescued 13 lions from a run down zoo in Romania in 2013, this was the catalyst to create the Foundation that has grown rapidly to support countless international projects around the globe.

Supporting projects including the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance and The Giraffe Conservation Foundation, WildLife Foundation has also funded two key Save the Rhino schemes improving the safety of threatened rhino’s in Kenya.

The Foundation has also supported conservation projects in Madagascar for blue-eyed black lemurs not to mention being instrumental in a global fight to protect endangered polar bears and most recently the re-homing of four endangered Ussuri brown bears from Japan.

What are our partner charities doing this Giving Tuesday?

Painted Dog Conservation

This Giving Tuesday, Painted Dog Conservation is asking the public to remember the Mpindo pups. PDC is asking the public to help them raise $4000 this Giving Tuesday for Mpindo primary schoolchildren to visit their Iganyana Children’s Bush Camp for a full four-day camp next year.

The impact of their camp in raising an environmentally conscious future generation is well documented and regarded. PDC’s children’s Bush Camp is 15 years old and has changed the lives of more than 12,000 children, but only a third of these children are now adults and taking up active roles in society where they can influence change.
